Gas Props

Put your golf club back in your bag and quit letting your topper door hit you in the head.

Gas Props.

Modern truck caps, or toppers, all have rear doors that are held open with gas props (sometimes called struts, lifts, or strong arms). These are a reliable component that allow the rear door of your cap to elevate out of your way and give you access to the bed of your truck. However, gas props do have a lifespan. This lifespan can vary widely depending on your use and the type and weight of your rear door, but eventually these parts need to be replaced. As a specialist in the sales and service of truck caps, S-Cargo Truck Caps stocks all common replacement gas props for topper rear doors. We are a supplier of SUSPA brand gas props, the preferred gas prop of the truck cap industry. If you are local to the Northern Colorado area, please feel free to stop by our store in Loveland, CO any time to get your gas props replaced. Stock gas props are $15 each and we will be happy to verify a matching part and install the replacement gas props for you at no additional cost. Not in the area? Feel free to call with a SUSPA part number or length and pressure for your props, and we would be happy to ship you a replacement set.

More questions? Feel free to email or call any time and we would be happy to assist.

Confused about installation?

It is important for the proper operation and longevity of your gas props that they are installed correctly. Depending upon the type of door on your topper the props may invert orientation upon opening and closing, so the key indicator that your props are installed properly is that the wider, cylinder end of the prop is on top when the door is closed.
