5 Gear Storage Options to Keep Your Vehicle Organized
When it comes to vehicle camping, overlanding, or off-roading, it’s a good idea to adopt the Boy Scout motto and “Always Be Prepared”. This preparedness can come along with a hefty amount of extra gear. It’s important to have these items and that they are easily accessible, but you also want to keep your vehicle (that you probably drive every day) from looking like a garbage truck. Here are 5 accessories to keep your gear handy and organized.
QUICK FIST
Quick Fist one piece rubber clamps are a great option for securing shovels, axes, fishing poles, fire extinguishers, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Simply mount the Quick Fist base to a flat surface with desired spacing and your items are locked in and ready to go. We have found Quick Fists to be durable enough to use inside or outside the vehicle, but keep in mind that they are not a locking solution, so you still may want to cable lock items stored outside, like the photo example shows.

Roof racks are good for transporting all kinds of things, but platform style racks are especially good for transporting gear, like water tanks, shovels and axes, cargo boxes, propane tanks, and other gear that you may not want taking up precious space inside the cab. Rather than a simple set of bars, that is generally only good for long items, a platform uses a series of crossbars for support and slats with mounting channels on top for attaching accessories and cargo. This allows you to mount a variety of small or oddly shaped items to your roof.

SEAT BACK ORGANIZERS
Seat back organization is a great way to keep gear stored inside the cab of your vehicle. They are great for flashlights, first aid kits, and even hunting equipment, but they’re also great for snacks, toys, and coloring books, if you have little ones. MOLLE panels are an awesome way to create attachment points for organizing your vehicle. A simple online search will allow you to find MOLLE pouches, clips, and mounting accessories for all of your necessities. UNDERCOVER SWINGCASE
Although bed mounted storage items are nice, sometimes you want a little containment to keep things, locked, dry, and out of site.
